She studied piano and violin at Trinity College of Music in London, graduating with an honours degree. Her playing career has seen her in many different roles: as cocktail pianist/singer on cruise ships and in 5-star hotels both in the UK and abroad; keyboard/vocalist with various bands, often working with international cabaret artistes; MD for production companies on land and at sea; classical recitals; songwriter; accompanist; repetiteur; arranger - if it's musical, she's probably been involved! |
Highlights so far have been 3 years as resident pianist in the Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane, London; contracts with P&O cruises on the ships Arcadia, Artemis and Oceana; classical/cocktail pianist on MS Deutschland (the german 'love boat'); performing as accompanist at the Wigmore Hall; opera pianist at the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich; and playing for tea at the Ritz, Piccadilly, London. Gordon commenced his career as Keyboard /Vocal Entertainer some years ago on a semi-professional basis. His "Easy Listening" style of entertainment coupled with light "clean" humour served to make him one of the most sought after entertainers in this field throughout the North West of England. His talents were brought to the International Stage by appearing on P&O Cruises who contracted Gordon to appear on their major ships, both for Mediterranean / Canary Island Cruises, and, also for their prestigious World Cruise programme. Gordon's entertainment style is suitable for hotel/conference/special event and cruise work. |
