It was only in his late teens Robbie discoverd his full potential as a vocalist. During the eighties, Robbie was a semi-professional broadcast DJ, and this gave him his lift on to the stage, gaining confidence and presence.
Robbie first started to use his voice in a full time professional way in 1989, working for a company in Weston-Super-Mare performing voice-overs and jingles for the BBC and companies worldwide. Robbie discovered his natural talent to mimic any voice while he was a DJ, and with a natural octabe range of nearly 4, Robbie finds it "quite easy" to perform many different styles.
His Matt Monroe tribute is critically acclaimed by international audiences whenever he appears for many major cruise companies.
"You have got the sweetest falsetto I have ever heard" (Joe Longthorne)
"The X Factor's got nothing on you" (Ronnie Corbett)
