Andy Leach
Hilarious Visual Comedy
An act of total comedy combining gags, impressions, crazy stunts and madness with a touch of magic to produce an hilarious one man show. As fresh and funny as ever. Andy continues to enthral audiences.
Numerous TV and radio shows are ever increasing his popularity with his crazy comedy appealing to both young and old alike. Whether it isa family audience in a holiday centre, elderly people on a luxury cruise, business executives at a high powered conference or hardened troops in war-torn Bosnia, or even a combination of all four, Andy is able to adapt his act to suit the occasion perfectly and have the audience shouting for more!
For the Millennium, Andy starred in 'Beauty and the Beast', which was voted among the top ten Christmas shows in Great Britain. This was followed by an appearance on the Gala Show of the Montreal Comedy Festival, 'Just for laughs', televised and watch by over 800 million people in over 30 countries throughout the world.
Andy recently starred on the Royal Variety Show where he was honoured to appear before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on the occasion of their 50th wedding aniversary, preceded by a superb performance at Sir Paul McCartney's Christmas Party.
Andy, born and bred in Ipswich, first displayed an interest in magic when he received a box of magic tricks as a present.
He produced some of these tricks whilst appearing in a Production at school and maintained his interest and expertise on a semi-professional basis, during his career in accountancy on leaving school.
Such was the reaction from his special type of presentation that Andy decided to follow his Show business career on a fully professional basis with a season at Thorpe Theme Park, Middlesex.
Further seasons at major Holiday Centres for Butlins and Pontins coupled with Shows in Spain, followed with outstanding success.
Television appearances with Central and Anglia Television preceded an invitation to appear for London Weekend Television on the “Big Big Talent Show” with Jonathan Ross. This resulted in the prestigious invitation to take part in the Royal Variety Show which was held at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London in December 1997.
Further television appearances including recording the new Channel 5 Show “Big Stage” in July 1999 soon followed.
Andy appeared, with outstanding success in his first Pantomime at His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen playing alongside Natalie Robb in the lead comedy role as “Simple Simon”, during Christmas season 1999/2000.
His unique brand of humour in a style likened by many to the late Tommy Cooper is evoking extensive acclaim throughout the business.
2006 proved to be a very busy year for Andy, with extensive engagements on the major cruise ships, coupled with guest cabaret appearances on the Thompson Gold Hotel circuit.
A most unassuming entertainer with an engaging personality, it is generally felt that Andy and his unique brand of comedy magic will grace many stages in the years to come.
