TV Presenter - Star Comedy Act

Bob, Birmingham born, moved to Liverpool after completing a short spell in uniform with the Birmingham City Police Force.
Gaining valuable experience with various promotion companies and his record retailing business, Bob developed his act from a promotional exercise to appearing at local social clubs.
Tours of clubland venues in the North East and South Wales gave him experience which was to be invaluable when he was, subsequently, contracted to appear with his famous puppet, ‘Spit the Dog’ for three series of the nationally acclaimed live television show,  ‘Tiswas’, with Chris Tarrant.

Appearances on major chat shows preceded a guest appearance in the first series of Cilla Black’s ‘Surprised Surprise’ Show.  This appearance was instrumental in Bob having an integral part of the subsequent series, commencing in 1986.
In 1989 Bob was appointed as the Host of the Network television game show, ‘Concentration’.
His many appearances for the British Forces include:
The Falklands islands; Belize; Germany; Gibraltar and Cyprus

Bob also has the accolade of being the first major Artiste to entertain HM Forces in:
The Falklands Islands; The Gulf and Croatia.

All this, together with many Royal Gala and prestigious television appearances on the ‘Live from Her Majesty’s’ and  ‘Live from the London Palladium’ Shows, serve to establish Bob Carolgees as a leading all round theatre and cabaret entertainer

Cruising with P & O. Cunard and Thomson cruise lines is another enjoyable and successful aspect of Bob’s career.
Appearing in Pantomime is one of the most enjoyable times for Bob.  He appeared as Chief of Police in “Aladdin” at the Palace Theatre Manchester, then with Cilla Black in Pantomime at the Liverpool Empire and the Wimbledon Theatre as “Wishee Washee”, also in “Aladdin”.  He then went on to star in Pantomimes in Birmingham, Woking, The Theatre Royal, Nottingham and The Cliffs Pavilion Southend.

Bob’s first appearance in the West End of London is again with Cilla Black at the Piccadilly Theatre in 1991/92, in Pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk”.  Pantomime in Guildford featured Bob as “Top of the Bill” playing “Buttons” in Cinderella.
Bob enjoys family life at his country retreat in Cheshire but, with commitments for personal appearances, cabaret, presenting commercials and voice-overs for television, he unfortunately, does not see much of his wife and two children, as he would like.  He has always maintained his commitment to put as much back into the business as he has been most fortunate to take of it.  He accepts the situation.  His contribution to Show business was recognised by being chosen as the subject for “This is your Life-Bob Carolgees“

A most unassuming, professional Artiste, Bob is well respected at every level in the business, in which he seems assured of a place for many years to come.
