Verstatile Vocal Entertainer
Sandi West commenced her singing career by performing impromptu Shows at family gatherings in her home town of Liverpool .
She was subsequently invited by a member of a local Band to sing with them on stage at a Liverpool Social Club.
Instant audience reaction encouraged Sandi to enrol on a vocal tuition course held by a former Grand Opera Vocalist, Maureen McKim, who was generally recognised as one of the leading vocal tutors in the United Kingdom .
The ensuing strict and comprehensive tuition paid dividends to Sandi who could, as a consequence, present a range of songs from Mozart to Country and Modern Ballads.
A full date sheet of Shows provided Sandi with appearances in Social and Cabaret Clubs throughout the North of England and Scotland .
These tours preceded an appearance on a National Television Show Talent Contest.
Her appearance, vocal expertise and presentation were soon noted by executives of major Theatres, Conference venues major Cruise Lines.
An appearance on a Holland American ship was followed by a trip to meet executives of Acuff - Rose Music Publishing Company in Nashville who then provided her with a selection of County Music songs from their extensive library.
Liaising with the London office of Acuff - Rose Music, Sandi recorded some ten songs and was delighted to learn that EMI Records decided to publish two of these numbers on consecutive years on their "Most Awesome Line Dance" cd albums.
Incidentally, her recording of "Three Days" written by Willie Nelson was so well received by the Line Dance following that a special Line Dance was written for this particular number.
Theatrical roles as "Dick Whittington" and "Aladdin" for major Pantomimes in Liverpool and Manchester served to demonstrate additional talents of this Artiste who continues to grace many stages throughout the U.K. and aboard.
As an associate of EMI Records commented "Sandi West has a voice for all seasons"- a fact which is demonstrated by the wealth of varied performances she continues to present with infectious enthusiasm.
